Latin Lesson #18

New Latin Lesson is up, on third declension adjectives.

I think next week I’m going to jump ahead (according to the books I have, anyway) and cover some pronouns.  Every time I try to find some text to use for exercises so I don’t have to keep making up the same boring sentences, I run into pronouns all over the place.  I’m hoping that getting them out of the way will let us study some more interesting texts.

Poster Board and Glitter

It’s funny how sometimes you find yourself encountering the same thought or conversation from different sources all at once.  I’ve found myself talking to a few different people lately about Catholic education and how dismal our generation’s was, and then I ran across this podcast called “Catholic Traitors” by Michael Voris of St. Michael Media.  (It was originally a video, but the podcast is free.)  If you went to Catholic school or CCD/PSR/Catechism classes in the US in the past 40 years or so, you’ll probably find yourself nodding along with him in several places.  It’s 45 minutes long, so for those who don’t have time to listen right now, here are a few money quotes and my comments.

Raise-a-Palooza

Friday Again

Harvested the third small batch of radishes today.  With all the moisture they’re getting, they seem noticeably bigger every day, so I’m not just picking little ones to thin them anymore.  Here’s a fuzzy picture of them halfway through washing them.
